Washable Paint
Card Stock Paper
What to Do:
1. Read children’s books about flowers.
2. Protect the work surface with a craft mat.
3. Cut flowers keeping about a 3 inch stem.
4. Squirt paint onto a paper plate.
5. Have children hold the flower by its stem, dip the flower head into washable paint, and gently press it onto card stock paper. They may want to press the back of the flower petals with their fingers to make a better impression. Remember it’s washable paint so let the kids get messy.
6. Help kids pick the flower straight up to reveal a colorful flower-shaped print!
7. Let the paint dry and turn the finished artwork into cards, gift wrap, or a colorful keepsake.
