Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bowl

This Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bowl is always a kid favorite because it’s naturally sweet, colorful, and fun for them to build. The fresh bananas, juicy berries, and tiny chia seeds create a mix of textures kids love, while the warm drizzle of peanut butter makes it feel like a cozy treat. It’s a healthy, high protein, high fiber, wholesome breakfast that keeps little ones full and happy.

The recipe below is for an adult serving from Skinny Taste so adjust the amount of ingredients to the appropriate serving size for kids in your care.

You Will Need:

1 medium banana, sliced
1/3 cup quick or rolled oats
1/4 cup raspberries
1/4 cup blueberries
1 tablespoon chopped almonds
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter, melted 30 to 60 seconds in the microwave.

What to Do:

1. Mash half of the banana with a fork.

2. Combine 2/3 cup water, oats, and the mashed banana in a small saucepan.

3. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the oats have thickened and softened, about 1 to 5 minutes, depending on the oats you use.

4. Transfer to a bowl and top with the remaining banana sliced, raspberries, blueberries, almonds, and chia seeds. Drizzle with the melted peanut butter.
