Cooking for Families
I love everything cranberry. I also love brussel sprouts. So adding the bright red berry to this vegetable side dish both looks and tastes great. If you cook for your Nanny Family they will ask for this side dish again and again.
You Will Need:
1 pound brussels sprouts, de-stemmed and halved
⅔ cup fresh cranberries
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
⅓ cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled (optional)
What to Do:
1. Heat skillet with drizzling of olive oil over medium heat.
2. Season brussel sprouts with salt and pepper and combine with cranberries in skillet. Cook sprouts and cranberries for 8-10 minutes, until berries begin to burst and sprouts become tender.
3. Add balsamic vinegar and maple syrup. Stir to coat and remove from heat.m
4. Top with gorgonzola and serve (optional).
