Cooking for Kids
This is a refreshing dessert or snack to serve to the children on hot summer days or anytime of the year. It’s much easier to make and to serve than ice cream cake. This pie can hang out in the freezer for weeks as long as it’s well wrapped. Just thaw it for ten minutes or so before serving. My Nanny Kids ask for it over and over again.
You Will Need:
Strawberries
Berry Chocolate Swirl Frozen Yogurt (any flavor the kids like)
Oreo Cookie Pie Crust
What to Do:
1. Wash, dry, and slice strawberries to use to decorate the pie.
2. Let the frozen yogurt soften a little bit.
3. Spoon the frozen yogurt into the Oreo cookie pie crust. Heat a large spoon under hot water then flatten the ice cream until smooth into the pie crust.
4. Decorate the top of frozen yogurt with strawberry slices.
5. Cover with pie shell lid or plastic wrap and store in freezer. Take out of freezer 10 minutes before serving.
