No Bake Strawberry Jello Pie

Because there are no hot ovens or complicated steps, kids can easily help make this refreshing summer dessert themselves with very little help from their nanny. They can fold in the whipped topping, pour the filling, and arrange slices of fresh sliced strawberries on top of this pie. This strawberry Jello pie is a perfect no bake pie for the 4th of July or any hot summer day.

You Will Need:

3 ounce strawberry jello mix
⅔ cup boiling water
1 cup ice water
8 ounce whipped topping, thawed
2 cups strawberries, diced
1 premade graham cracker crust, 9 to 10 inches
Toppings: additional whipped topping and sliced strawberries, if desired

What to Do:

1. Add jello mix and boiling water to a large bowl. Whisk together for 2 minutes or until dissolved.

2. Add ice water; stirring well until all ice has melted. Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to allow the gelatin to thicken.

3. Allow the kids to whisk in the whipped topping. Fold in 1 ½ cup of the diced strawberries.

4. Spoon the filling into graham cracker pie crust. Have the kids decorate the top of the pie with the remaining diced strawberries.

5. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or let it chill overnight.

6. Slice and serve. Top slices with whipped topping and/or additional strawberries, if desired.
