You Will Need:
Black Cardstock Paper
Red, White, and Blue Washable Paint
Plastic Forks
Paint Palates or Paper Plates
Optional: Glitter for Extra Sparkle
What to Do:
- Pour small amounts of red, white, and blue paint onto a paint palate or plate.
- Dip the back of a plastic fork into the paint.
- Press the fork onto the black paper and twist slightly to create a bursting fireworks shape.
- Layer colors to make bright, colorful explosions in the sky.
- Add paint splatters or glitter for the finishing touch!
Nanny Tip:
Try letting kids create a whole “night sky” scene by adding stars, rockets, or writing their names under their fireworks. It’s a great fine-motor activity that lets little artists explore patterns, colors, and textures.
