First Thoughts on “Million Dollar Nannies” on Hulu

“Million Dollar Nannies” immediately feels like “The Real World” on MTV — a group of young, attractive nannies from different places living together while working as nannies in Ibiza.

Many have large social media followings and share photos and videos from past nanny jobs, which is usually a concern in a profession where NDAs and family privacy are common. The biggest difference is that the families on this show are choosing to publicly share their homes, wealth, and children.

The group interview format is created for television and isn’t a realistic reflection of how nanny hiring usually works. My fellow nannies will likely have plenty to say about the show’s entertainment value versus what it’s actually like to work as a professional nanny.

But despite criticisms, I will watch and enjoy in the weeks ahead.

What are your first thoughts of the show?
