Tissue Paper Flowers

My youngest Nanny Kid and I are making flower crafts this summer and reading our favorite children’s books about flowers. This is a super simple arts and craft flower activity to make with kids preschool-aged and up.

See how to make beautiful flowers with coffee filters, flowers out of paper plates, cupcake liner flowers, paint tulips with forks, and fingerprint flowers while reading these children’s books as well.

You can purchase the books and supplies for this project by tapping the links below or by visiting my Amazon storefront by clicking here.

I may make a small profit when visitors purchase items using the affiliate links within this blog post and on my storefront.

You Will Need:

Several Sheets Tissue Paper (at least 7-inch by 10-inch sheets)
2 Chenille Stems Per Flower (we used pink and green)
8 Great Children’s Books About Flowers

What to Do:

1. Stack eight sheets of white tissue paper and fold like a fan. The folds should be one-inch in width.

2. Tightly twist a chenille stem around the center of the folded tissue paper. (We twisted some of the stems with both pink and green chenille stems).

3. Gently separate the sheets, pulling each end towards the center.

4. Repeat the steps above to make more white flowers and more flowers of different colors.
