Christmas Tree Pizza

This easy recipe combines children’s love of both Christmas and pizza. I use store bought fresh pizza dough and pesto sauce to make it super easy and quick for the children to make their own holiday pizza. Using pesto sauce instead of tomato sauce makes for a great looking Christmas tree pizza.

You Will Need:

Fresh Pizza Dough
Fresh Pesto Sauce
Cherry or Grape Tomatoes
Bell Pepper Strips
Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
Olive Oil

What to Do:

1. Preheat oven to 450 F degrees or follow the instructions on the pizza dough.

2. Allow the fresh pizza dough come to room temperature.

3. Spread a small amount of olive oil on a baking sheet and your hands. Shape the dough into a Christmas tree shape on the baking sheet.

4. Allow the children to spread pesto sauce on the dough.

5. Then allow the children to decorate the pizza with bell peppers as Harland. Cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella balls as ornaments on the tree-shaped pizza.

6. Bake the pizza for 10 to 15 minutes watching closely so not to let the pizza burn.
