Make Labor Day extra festive and delicious—with this fun American flag vegetable platter! Kids will love the bright colors, fun flag design, and having a healthy snack they can pick and choose from. It’s an easy, patriotic way for nannies to add a little holiday fun to snack time.

You Will Need:

1 Large Cookie Sheet
Knife
Vegetable Peeler
Mixing Bowl
Hand Mixer
Square Container for Dip
Small Star Fondant Cutter
3 Cucumbers
Radishes
Cauliflower
Grape Tomatoes
2 Red Peppers

For Veggie Dip:

8 Ounces Light Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
1/2 Cup Fat Free Sour Cream
1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons Fresh Dill, finely chopped
1 Tablespoon Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
1 Teaspoon Dried Minced Onion
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Few Drops Blue Food Coloring

What to Do:

1. Wash the vegetables. Peel the cucumbers. Slice the vegetables and line them up on the cookie sheet in rows of white and red.

2. Place the light cream cheese in a mixing bowl and let it sit until soft. Use a hand mixer or spoon to beat the cream cheese, fat-free sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy. Stir in the chopped fresh dill, chopped fresh parsley, dried minced onion, and salt until well combined. Add a few drops of blue food coloring. Stir thoroughly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Put it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors blend before serving.

3. Add the dip to a square container and place in the top left side of the cookie sheet. Thinly slice a radish and cut stars then place in rows on the dip.
