This is a super easy Halloween project that isn’t scary for little kids. Be sure to read children’s books about spiders such as “Anansi the Spider,” “The Very Busy Spider,” “I’m Trying to Love Spiders,” “Mrs. Spider’s Beautiful Web,” and “The Magic School Bus Spins a Web” to correspond with this project. You Will Need:
White Paper Plates
Hole Puncher
Black Yarn
Safety Lacing Needle
Plastic Spider
Clear Tape
What To Do:
1. Punch holes around a paper plate as seen in the photo.
2. Tape one end of yarn to back of the paper plate.
3. String the yarn into a safety needle.
4. Allow the child to weave the yarn through the holes going across the plate back and forth to make a web. Tie off end of the yarn when all yarn is used up.
5. Attach plastic spider to the web. Hang to decorate their bedroom or playroom.
