Easy Honey Mustard Chicken Thighs

Cooking for Kids

My Nanny Kids love this quick and easy chicken recipe. Quantities are approximate. Add more or less wine, depending on the thickness of the honey mustard. It works well on chicken or pork or as a glaze for grilled salmon. The wine flavors the sauces but the alcohol cooks off so it’s safe to serve to children.

You Will Need:

1 cup honey mustard
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken thighs or skinless bone-in thighs

What to Do:

1. In a resealable plastic bag, combine honey mustard, wine, thyme, and pepper. Mix well.

2. Add the thighs, seal bag, and massage well to evenly coat chicken. Marinade for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or in the refrigerator for several hours.

3. Preheat grill to medium low. Oil the grate so the chicken doesn’t stick.

4. When ready to cook, place the thighs on the grill. Discard the marinade. Grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until meat thermometer registers 165 degrees.

5. Serve hot or at room temperature.
