Q-Tip Snowflakes

Creative Projects

A winter time favorite is cutting Q-Tips to make beautiful, unique snowflakes. It is a good project for school aged children. I typically cut up a lot of Q-tips before getting started but older kids love to cut them up themselves. Here is what you’ll need to get started.

You Will Need:

Blue Craft Paper
Glue
Scissors
Q-tips Cotton Swabs

What to Do:

1. Cut circles out of the blue construction paper.

2. Cut Q-tips into various sizes.

3. Allow the kids to map out their designs on the paper circles to give their snowflakes a more intricate design.

Be sure to read the books below about snowflakes with the kids too!
