Cooking for Kids
In preparation for Halloween treat your little tricksters to some really good finger food. Kids love chicken fingers and making them into witch fingers will get in the holiday mood. Dipping the witch fingers in ketchup or barbecue sauce will make every bite bloody as well as delicious.
You Will Need:
1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Tenders
1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
Splash Worcester Sauce
1 to 2 Cups Seasoned Bread Crumbs
1 egg
Slivered Almonds
Ketchup and Barbecue Sauce (optional)
What to Do:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix Worcester sauce and mayonnaise in medium bowl. Add chicken to the bowl and mix so the chicken is covered with the mayonnaise.
3. Roll each chicken finger through bread crumbs and line them on the baking sheet.
4. Whip the egg with a whisk. Brush egg wash on smaller tip of each piece of chicken and attach an almond sliver to each finger to look like a fingernail.
5. Cook chicken fingers in oven. Depending on the size of the chicken will determine how long to cook them until the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F.
6. Serve with ketchup and barbecue sauce as blood.
