Cooking With Kids

I have yet to meet a kid that doesn’t love corn. This is a simple and basic corn casserole recipe found on nearly every recipe web site. Children are more apt to try new foods they are allowed to help make. So be sure to have them help gather the ingredients, measure, mix, and pour the batter when making this yummy recipe.

You Will Need:

1 Can (approx 15 oz) Whole Kernel Corn
1 Can (approx 15 oz) Creamed Corn
1 (8 oz) Box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
1 Cup Sour Cream
1/2 Stick Melted Butter
9 by 13-inch Baking Pan

What to Do:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, stir together the the 2 cans of corn, corn muffin mix, sour cream, and melted butter.

3. Pour into a greased 9 by 13-inch casserole dish. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until golden brown.

4. Let stand for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
