I must admit I love using Ziplocs to carry my nanny kid’s snacks and lunches and to store leftovers in the fridge. But, plastic is full of chemicals that may leach into food and they aren’t environmentally friendly. Wrapping food in aluminum foil is also convenient but can also contaminate food and lead to the absorption of too much aluminum into the body. So a better option to plastic and aluminum foil to keep foods fresh are non-toxic reusable food wraps.
Here is a list of some of my favorite reusable, environmentally friendly, and non-toxic food wraps to use instead of aluminum foil and plastic.
