The Happiest Toddler on the Block: How to Eliminate Tantrums and Raise a Patient, Respectful, and Cooperative One- to Four-Year-Old: Revised Edition
This book Happiest Baby on the Block is my infant care bible.I love it. I love the gentle and nurturing approach. It's 100% true. It works 100%. It's just excellent.Anyone caring for infants must read this book or see his dvd's or at the very least visit his web site. It is easy and works!
I agree this is an excellent book. The book shows how to swaddle a baby I recommend using swaddlers that are made for the purpose. They are much easier to use and safer than a real blanket.Sonya Nanny of TwoBay Area California
I have used these methods for three families. The infants are comforted immediately. Great resource for nannies!Career nanny/Infant SpecialistLaurie M.Chanhassen, Minnesota
The methods in this book do work. It's great for infants up to about 3 months.Melissa Bedford New Hampshire
I really love this book. It just describes the natural reflexes of newborms and it works. Really easy book to read and to follow. I know it works I have used it before and I am using it now.
Well dr karps methods from happiest baby on the block worked like a charm last week. I swaddled her, put her in the swing, sucked on the pacifier and slep all morning. But mom told me no pacifier or she will get attached to it/become dependant on it. Boy the baby sure did love it while it lasted though.
The methods in this book work! funny thing is, is that when I was raising my 6 kids, i didn't have this book, but just did what came naturally, and these methods are what came naturally 🙂 Now as a professional nanny, i'd like to apply these methods, but some moms just don't buy into the swaddling, or pacifier.
