Skip the takeout! This Halloween, turn dinner into a deliciously spooky craft project with homemade Jack-o’-lantern pizzas! Use store bought fresh pizza dough and cut pepperoni or veggies to make Halloween dinner super easy. You can cut the dough in half for the kids to make their own personal pizzas.
You Will Need:
Pizza Dough
1/4 cup Pizza Sauce
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
1½ cup Shredded Mozzarella
3 tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
Sliced Pepperoni or Vegetables of Choice
Baking Sheet or Pizza Pan
Parchment Paper
What to Do:
1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a pizza pan with parchment paper.
2. Lightly flour a surface, and roll 1 ball of pizza dough into the shape of a circle. Fold edges over and press to create the crust.
3. Transfer the pizza dough to a prepared baking sheet. Brush with 2 tablespoons olive oil, then poke the crust with a fork to prevent bubbles from forming.
4. Place in the oven and bake for 6 minutes.
5. Cut pepperoni or vegetables into shapes to make a jack o’ lantern face.
6. Remove pizza dough and spread ¼ cup sauce over top, then add 1½ cups shredded Mozzarella cheese, 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, and pepperoni or any vegetable toppings the children like to make a Jack O’ Lantern face.
7. Return pizza to the oven and bake for 8-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the pepperoni is crispy. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
8. Slice in triangles or squares to serve.
