Gratitude Journal

Start the new year off right by having the children in your care decorate their own Gratitude Journals. The goal is to have the kids keep them on their night stand to start or end each day writing down the things they are grateful for every day in the new year. Don’t forget to make one for yourself as well!

You Will Need:

Blank Spiral Notebook or Blank Book
Markers
Stickers

What to Do:

  1. Allow the children to decorate their journals with markers and stickers. Help them write “Gratitude Journal” on their book if they ask for help.
  2. Encourage the kids to discuss what they are thankful for and either draw pictures or write what they are grateful for daily in their journals.
