This is an easy Frankenstein Sun Catcher to make with the kids. Click here to see how to make Jack-o-Lanterns and Ghost Sun Catchers as well. I prefer using self-adhesive laminating sheets rather than contact paper, which is more flimsy, to make this adorable Halloween sun catcher.
You Will Need:
Black Construction Paper
Green Tissue Paper
Scissors
Self-Adhesive Laminating Paper
Pencil
What to Do:
1. Use a pencil to draw a square to make a Frankenstein shape on black construction paper.
2. Cut out the Frankenstein and bolts from construction paper. Then cut out the center leaving half triangle zig zags for hair.
3. Cut out triangles for the eyes and a mouth from the black paper for the facial features.
4. Cut up squares of green tissue paper.
5. Peel off the backing of the contact paper or laminating sheet and place it sticky side facing up on the table.
6. Have the child place the paper Halloween shape and facial features on the sticky side of the laminating sheet.
7. Allow the child to place tissue paper pieces onto the sticky contact paper or self-adhesive laminating sheets.
8. Remove the backing of another sheet of contact paper or laminating sheet and place on the back of the Frankenstein and press to seal the sun catcher.
9. Trim the laminating paper around the shape and hang in a window to decorate the child’s playroom or bedroom.
