Mongolian Pork

A mother I work for had this recipe in her kitchen binder. When her children tasted the first bite of this Mongolian Pork recipe they said, “Oh Yum. This is so good!”

I hope your own family and your Nanny Family like it as much as the family I work for did. I served it with sautéed vegetables and rice.

You Will Need:

1 pound pork tenderloin
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons cooking wine
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon sugar

Mixing Sauce:

2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
6 stalks green onions

What to Do:

1. Cut pork tenderloin into 1 cm thickness, pound it to half of the thickness, cut into pieces (about 3 cm).

2. Mince 1 clove garlic.

3. Marinade meat with garlic, 1.5 tablespoon soy sauce, 1.5 tablespoon cooking wine, 1.5 tablespoon corn starch, and 1/2 teaspoon sugar and let it sit for half an hour.

4. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the meat so that it is easier to separate the meat during frying.

5. Make the mixing sauce of 2 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 teaspoon sugar.

6. Slice green onions into 2 inch pieces.

7. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in pot until hot. Quickly sauté the meat. When the meat color turns lighter, pour in Mixing Sauce and green onions.

8. Mix evenly and quickly remove from pot.
