Christmas Tree Pizza

Kids love Christmas. Children love pizza. So we combined their love of both with this fun way to have the kids help make dinner for their family. Using fresh store-bought pizza dough makes it a super quick and easy Christmas tree shaped pizza. Use any veggies the kids like that look likes ornaments or garland.

You Will Need:

1 T. Extra Virgin Olive Oil (if using baking sheet)
Fresh Pizza Dough
Store Bought Fresh Pesto Sauce
Cherry Tomatoes
Red Pepper, Cut into Strips
Small Balls Fresh Mozzarella

What to Do:

1. Let the pizza dough warm to room temperature.

2. Preheat the oven to 450 F degrees. Grease a baking sheet with a little olive oil or prepare pizza stone as recommended by the manufacturer.

3. Help the child create a Christmas tree shape with the pizza dough. We tried to shape 4 triangles to make out Christmas tree (see the photo).

4. Have the child spread pesto onto the pizza dough with a spoon.

5. Then have the child place cheese balls and cherry tomatoes on the tree to represent ornaments on the tree.

6. Have the child use the bell pepper slices to make garland on the pizza tree.

7. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes (or as directed on the pizza dough package).

8. Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes prior to slicing.
