This Halloween craft has been a favorite of mine for years. Inspired by a project from Sarah Jane Studios, this spooky little house features opening and closing doors and shutters that are just begging to be peeked behind. This year, we added a creative twist by printing Halloween characters clip art for the children to glue into the windows, along with drawing their own spooky friends using colored pencils and markers. The best part? Every window holds a little Halloween surprise!
You Will Need:
Haunted House Template Printer Paper Black and Yellow or Orange Paper Printer Scissors X-Acto Knife Markers and Colored Pencils Glue Stick
What to Do:
1. Copy and print the haunted house template above.
2. Trace and cut out the haunted house on black, green, or orange paper.
3. Use a scissor and X-Acto knife to cut out the window shutters.
4. I lightly trace windows with a pencil on the yellow, white, or orange paper so the children know where to draw their Halloween characters.
5. Allow the kids to draw in the windows or past clip art to the windows.
6. Paste the black paper over the yellow, white, or orange paper.
