“Dragons Love Tacos” by Adam Rubin and Paper Plate Taco Craft

After reading the beloved book “Dragons Love Tacos” by Adam Rubin make tacos out of paper plates with children. A 7-year-old child in my care also made a dragon out of a toilet paper cardboard tube. Don’t forget to serve your Nanny Kids tacos for lunch or dinner after reading this book!

While reading “Dragons Love Tacos” the kids will learn that dragons love tacos. They love chicken tacos, beef tacos, great big tacos, and teeny tiny tacos. So if you want to lure a bunch of dragons to your party, you should definitely serve tacos. Buckets and buckets of tacos. Unfortunately, where there are tacos, there is also salsa. And if a dragon accidentally eats spicy salsa . . . oh, boy. You’re in red-hot trouble.

You can purchase your own copy of “Dragons Love Tacos” by tapping the title of the book above or by visiting my storefront by clicking here.

Here’s how to make tacos out of paper plates:

You Will Need:

Large Paper Plate {one per taco craft}
Shredded Green Paper
Tan Washable Paint
Paint Brush
Red, Orange, Yellow, and Brown Tissue Paper
Kid Friendly Craft Scissors
Hand-Held Office Stapler

What to Do:

1. Have the child paint a paper plate completely tan and allow to dry.

2. Once dry, fold the paper plate in half to make the taco shell.

3. Allow the child stuff their taco shell with the shredded green paper to represent lettuce and red, orange, yellow, and brown tissue paper to represent tomatoes, cheese, and ground beef.

4. Once it’s stuffed, staple the “taco” shut.

5. Then repeat for however many tacos you want.
