Cardboard Tube Shape Matching

Creative Wednesdays

I save toilet paper and paper towel cardboard tubes to make free, quick, and easy projects for my Nanny Kids. This is an easy activity to let older siblings help make for their younger siblings. The shapes pictured might not look perfect because my Nanny Kid’s brother enjoyed drawing the shapes for his sister on the tubes. His sister loved matching the colored shapes her brother made for her. Just throw the cardboard in recycling bin when done.

You Will Need:

Cardboard Tubes
Markers
Scissors
Paper Towel Holder

What to Do:

1. Cut toilet paper tubes in half.

2. Draw different color shapes on the cardboard. Color each shape in a different color.

3. Cut the shapes in half again.

4. Have kids match the colored shapes by putting them on a paper towel holder.
