Access to Children’s During Pandemic

Below is a resource list of children’s books web sites that will be discussed during our conversation.
During the pandemic most local libraries are closed. But that doesn’t mean children can’t still access children’s books or have books read to them aloud. If your library doesn’t have convenient curbside pick up hours I found these excellent children’s book web sites. Only Epic Books has subscription costs to choose from. All of the other sites are free.

This site is used by schools and is excellent. Try it for 30 days for free to see if you love it before paying for subscription options.
2. BookTrust

This free web site offers interactive and books to read online. You Will find classic children’s books and more modern titles.
3. Free Children’s Stories

This site offers stories for children aged 3 to 4, 5 to 8, and 8 to 10 year old. As the name of the site suggests, access is free.
4. International Children’s Digital Library

This resource provides access to books from all over the world representing every culture and language — all for free.
5. Storyberries

There is no cost to access children’s books and discussion guides for issues brought up in the books.
6. Storyline Online

This free web site offers well-known books read by famous actors. It offers curriculum information to strengthen children’s comprehension, verbal, and written skills.
7. Free Kids Books

This resource offers books for different ages for even books for children diagnosed with dyslexia all at no cost.
8. Magic Blox!

This site offers award-winning authors and books for toddlers, children, and young adults. There are free online books and several subscription options for additional books.
9. Story Time From Space

Astronauts read fiction and non-fiction books to children from space at no cost to the children.

Loyal Books offers a large collection of free books in many different languages and genres.
