Cool Whip Easter Eggs

img_9440

I have loved making shaving cream Easter Eggs with my nanny kids in the past. But, it is safer using whipped cream than shaving cream when working with toddlers since kids may put their fingers in their mouths while doing the project. Protect the surface before starting the project and you may want to wear rubber gloves to keep  from staining your hands and the children’s hands from the food coloring.

You Will Need:

White Hard Boiled Eggs
White Vinegar
3 C. Whipped Topping
Food Coloring
Baking Sheet or Disposable Baking Tin
Paper Towels
Rubber Gloves

What to Do:img_9391

1. Boil the eggs to make them hard boiled eggs and cool completely.

2. Place the eggs in a large bowl and cover with white vinegar. Soak for 2 minutes, drain and dry the eggs thoroughly.img_9399

3. Spread whipped topping on a baking sheet in an even layer about 1/2” deep.

4. Drop food color in single drops about an img_9407inch apart, in as many colors as you choose. Use a toothpick to swirl the colors to a marbled effect.

5. Roll eggs in whipped cream and let sit 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from whipped cream and wipe off whipped topping with img_9417-1paper towels or rinse quickly with cold water. Let dry completely on a paper towel and display.
