Father’s Day Shirt Cards

Creative Wednesdays

Fathers Day is on the third Sunday of June in America. You don’t need to buy expensive gifts for your employer for Father’s Day. Instead, make this very simple and inexpensive card with the kids to give to their father.

You Will Need:

Brightly Colored Card Stock
Buttons
Scissors
Glue
Ruler
Pencil

What to Do:

1. Cut the card stock in half.
2. Using a ruler mark about 1.5 inches down from top of the card stock and about 2- inches in from the side of the card to draw lines to cut out the collar of the card.
3. Fold down the little rectangles at top of card to create a collar for the shirt.
4. Cut out a necktie or bow tie out of a piece of contrasting colored paper.
5. Use glue to secure the necktie under the collar or paste the bow tie above the collar.
6. Paste buttons on the shirts of cards.
7. Have kids write message on front or back of card.
