The kids I care for love having taste tests. All you need are two or three similar food items that are just different colors. Cover the child’s eyes with a blind fold or just ask them to close their eyes. Then, put a piece of food in their mouth and let them guess which color food it is.
For example, we used bell peppers in the photo to the left. But you can use grapes, berries, potatoes, breads, apples, brown and white eggs or any healthy food in the rainbow. Some differently colored produce may taste different from others, while other foods (such as white and brown eggs) won’t taste different. It’s a fun, quick, and easy way to get kids to eat healthy.
