There’s something magical about watching sunlight shine through this simple child’s handmade Turkey Sun Catcher for Thanksgiving. Maybe it’s the burst of color, maybe it’s the pride in the child’s smile — but somehow, this simple craft captures the warmth and joy of Thanksgiving perfectly. These colorful little turkeys don’t just brighten up windows, they light up the little ones’ creativity and your Nanny Family’s Thanksgiving holiday décor.

You Will Need:
Turkey Template
Card Stock Paper
Printer
Self-Adhesive Laminating Sheets
Scissors
Tissue Paper Squares
Clear Tape for Hanging
What to Do:
1. Print the turkey template.
2. Carefully cut out the inside of the shape leaving a border. Young children will need you to cut the shapes for them, while older children can cut out the star themselves.
3. Peel off the backing of self-adhesive laminating sheet and place it with the sticky side facing up on the table.
4. Place the turkey on the self-adhesive laminating sheet.
5. Have the child place tissue paper squares onto the sticky sheet inside of the paper turkey.
6. Place another piece of self-adhesive laminating sheet on top of the turkey to seal it.
7. Trim the shapes leaving a bit of laminating sheets around the edges of the sun catcher.
8. Hang with clear tape on the window.
