“Snowflake in My Pocket” and Making Paper Snowflakes

Making paper snowflakes is fun at any age — from elementary school to adult. Read “Snowflake in My Pocket” by Rachel Bright and make paper snowflakes with the children in your care. I found plenty of free templates to print and use at madeinapinch.com, superstarworksheets.com, and thebestideasforkids.com.

“Snowflake in My Pocket” by Rachel Bright  is a lovely and sweet story. Bear and Squirrel love to spend time together in the forest. When the snow starts to fall Squirrel is super excited and can’t wait to share his first experience of snow with Bear, but Bear gets ill and can’t go outside. But squirrel has an idea. The story has a lovely tale of friendship for children up to 6 years old.

I also recommend reading these children’s books I love about snow: “All the Little Snowflakes,” “The Story of Snow,” “Curious About Snow,”  “Snowflakes Fall,”The Snowy Day,”  and “Charlie and Lola: Snow is My Favorite and My Best.”
