“Coyotes All Around” by Stuart J. Murphy is perfect for teaching rounding numbers to first, second, and third graders.
Clever Coyote thinks it’s time for lunch — and also time to show her friends how, with some simple rounding, she can add up numbers in her head. If only she were as good at hunting as she is at math!
Kids will love the story and the illustrations by Steve Björkman. Parents, nannies, and educators will love how the story and pictures make understanding the math concepts a breeze — as well as the concrete examples of how math works.
The book contains activities for adults to do with kids to extend math into their own lives.
