Sprinkle Birthday Cards

I prefer when children make their own birthday cards for their friends and family rather than buying cards. A six-year-old I care for wanted to try making birthday cards for her friends’ birthdays. So on a rainy day we experimented making a bunch of cards with sprinkles. We learned not to use liquid glue or the colors from the sprinkles will bleed. You can use a glue stick or we preferred using a low heat hot glue gun.

You Will Need:

Newspaper
Rainbow Sprinkles
Cardstock Paper
Low Temperature Hot Glue Gun or Glue Stick

What to Do:

1. Cover work station with newspaper.

2. Use a low temperature hot glue gun to add glue where you want the sprinkles to go on the cardstock paper.  While the glue is still hot and soft, cover in rainbow sprinkles.  Allow glue to cool.

3. Shake off excess sprinkles onto newspaper.

4. Repeat until the sprinkles cover the card as desired.
