Cardboard Ornaments

It couldn’t be cheaper or easier than making crafts using the cardboard in the recycling bin at work. The boys and girls I care for at my nanny job, and those I babysit, enjoyed decorating cardboard ornaments with gel markers, paint pens, and markers.

You Will Need:

Cardboard
Scissors
X-Acto Knife
Paint, Gel Markers, Paint Markers Pastels, Markers, Glitter Pens, and Other Decorations
Ribbon or Yarn

What to Do:

1. Trace ornament shapes onto cardboard.

2. Use scissors and an X-acto knife to cut out the ornaments and poke a hole for a string at the top of the ornament.

3. Allow the the kids to paint and color the ornaments with paint, gel markers, paint markers, markers, glitter pens, and any decorations you can think of.

4. String the ornaments with ribbon or a yarn and hang to decorate the playroom, bedroom, or fireplace mantle.
