Nannies spend their days caring for babies, infants, and toddlers making them experts on what are the best strollers to use around town and for traveling.
Different families have different needs. So there are many varieties of strollers depending on the ages and number of children a family has and how and where they plan to use the strollers. Most families have more than one stroller for those different needs.
For a newborn, a car-seat carrier or a stroller that can carry a car seat and/or convert with a nearly-flat recline is useful.
Once a child is 6-months-old, and able to sit up and hold their head up, families can switch to a smaller and lighter weight stroller.
For families with twins or two or more youngsters they can choose to have the children sit in a side by side stroller or tandem stroller.

Best Stroller Overall: Baby Jogger City Mini GT2
Nannies that took our Be the Best Nanny stroller survey liked the compact and sturdy Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 stroller as the best overall stroller. This stroller ranked best mainly due to its outstanding maneuverability and fairly lightweight design. If you’re looking for an everyday stroller, this compact Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 is easy to fold and unfold. Nannies mentioned liking the hand-operated parking brake. The seatback can recline almost flat with two hands on a toggle that has straps from each side that come together. It requires two hands to easily lift and lower without trouble. The footrest props up for flat napping. The UV 50 sunshade is a large, full-coverage canopy with dual peek-a-boo windows with magnet covers. The GT2 comes standard with the ability to add a Baby Jogger brand car seat but is compatible with a wide range of infant car seat carriers with the purchase of adapters. The manual is easy to follow, it requires no tools, and you only need to snap on the wheels and canopy to be ready to roll.
