Mother’s Day Gift

I just love the smell of lemons! That’s one of the reasons this is my absolute favorite, cheapest, and easiest homemade Mother’s Day gift to make and give. Let the kids help make this wonderfully clean smelling, non-toxic, moisturizing scrub for their Mother and Grandmothers. It’s so inexpensive. I simply bought the mason jars for a dollar each and the ribbon to decorate the jars at the local craft shop. This lemony scrub make an impressive gift for any lady for any occasion or holiday during the year.

You Will Need:

2 Cups Coconut Oil
2 Cups Granulated Sugar
Zest of 3 Lemons
Juice of 3 Lemons
Mason Jars
Cloth Ribbon and Labels (optional)

What to Do:

While I grated three lemonS to make lemon zest, I let the kids measure and mix the rest of the ingredients for this silky and luxurious hand and foot scrub in a large bowl. The coconut oil should be about 75 degrees to pour without needing a spoon. Add the zest and mix together. Pour the scrub into mason jars. Decorate the mason jars with cloth ribbon with a little card or a sticky label on the top of the lid saying “Happy Mother’s Day” or “Lemon Sugar Scrub.”
